Video SummaryHello, this is Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, with our video summary of Licensing International 2007. Historically, this annual stop in the Big Apple has been extremely productive for Invent-Tech, and we are pleased to report that the 2007 edition of the proceedings was no exception. Licensing International 2007 unfolded at the customary venue for this exhibit, the Jacob Javits Center, from June 19th through the 21st. Exhibitor and attendee numbers appeared to be as strong as they have been over the previous 5 years that Invent-Tech has been a part of the event, and the activity at our company’s state-of-the-art exhibit booth was certainly reflective of this. A diverse cross-section of attendees has long been a distinctive characteristic of Licensing International, and this once again became evident almost right from the onset of this year’s show. During the first day alone we had the pleasure of meeting with the Sourcing Director of a multi-billion dollar company dealing in 26 different product categories that expressed a desire to set up a conference call between Invent-Tech, himself, and another member of senior management within his firm, a sporting goods company that has just acquired the brand license of the sports department of a major broadcast television network, and a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer with extensive factories in Hong Kong that is in search of non-electrical housewares, pet, and automotive products. The subsequent two days of the show also saw companies seeking everything from barbecue accessories to footwear products stop by the Invent-Tech booth. Additionally, we also spoke extensively to one of the principals of a New Jersey-based infomercial company that also expressed a desire in speaking with Invent-Tech further about an ongoing relationship regarding the inventions on our roster that may be potentially good candidates for television exposure. Tellingly, it is usually the overview given to these manufacturers of Invent-Tech’s dynamic new product information subscription service, Innovation Direct, that seems to solidify their interest in having Invent-Tech follow up with them as soon as possible after the show in order to initiate what all parties hope will be a mutually beneficial relationship. The follow-up process with these companies began during the show itself, as each notable visitor to the Invent-Tech booth was sent an e-mail of acknowledgement and appreciation for having taken the time to meet with our company the very same day they stopped by. The next few weeks meanwhile, will see Invent-Tech’s Manufacturer Response Team begin the considerable task of seeking out inventions in the Invent-Tech Data Vault that will match the specific criteria requested by each of these leads obtained at Licensing International 2007. As developments occur with these scenarios, we will provide all of the details on our Invent-Tech Network Blog. Speaking of the Blog, as a reminder, it is accessible through our website, www.invent-tech.com. During each trade show event, multiple updates live from the exhibit floor are provided throughout each day of the proceedings. Also, be sure to check our website after each trade show for a full array of photos from the event.
